Candy coated lecture

This week’s lecture was the most interesting out of all of them. Her name was Candy Depew she talked mainly about her amazing life and where she had been and what kind of events her life was geared around. She talked a lot about apprentices and how connect her two apprentices are. Her talk just inspired me to have a life like hers. I can truly say that I want to be an artist even more after I heard her speak.

third lecture

Lecture for the first two go was bland at most well I missed the first, but I heard stories that made me glad that I missed. This weeks lecture was about how our brain is our first work space. That thought process is exactly how I do art. Ill have the task of a painting or a school project in my head and wont stop thinking about it till I have a clear plan. only then will I start to sketch out an idea. That made me happy to think about someone else thinking in the same way as you that has already been successful.

TED

"TED is a small nonprofit organization devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading" the subject of the Ted I watched was all about copy write and and about music but what i found most interesting about the clip was how the speaker was using the projected screen to echo what he was saying in a very abstract way. It compelled me to use more multi media in my own art.

experiencing the Tyler foundation lectures

the lecture was a bit of a drag today I had a lot on my mind. I listened to parts of the lecture but really didn't give it enough attention to remember much other then he was tall and had a unique voice the drew you into the conversation, but every time that would happen the subject matter just turned me back to what I was doing. He talked for a good length of time in the beginning where I didn't even realize he was talking because I was so far in to my subconsciousI was unaware of any thing going on around me. He seemed like a good guy.

Challenged with the task of exploring Philly taking pictures, rescuing found objects, and sketching I had another motive.  I took off to further my exploration of a resent idea that I’ve been thinking about.  Lately I've really been taking notice of how nature in displayed in a city rather then just there.  There’s almost a yin and yang feeling I get when I’m at my house in the suburbs visiting from school where man made objects don't clutter the sky and nature is more natural.  Opposed to the city where nature is almost non-existing.  This idea led me to take pictures of how nature is almost super imposed in the city. What I picked up for my found objects is just a token of how man destroys and leaves behind.
